Duncan Fairgrieve is a professor of law and practises also part-time as an English Barrister at the Bar of England & Wales, and as a French avocat at the Paris Bar.
He is an expert in comparative, European and international law and is a prolific author, having written over 20 books, and dozens of journal articles published in leading law journals worldwide.
He is a regular media commentator on themes relating to international and domestic legal issues, the justice system, constitutional matters and international relations, including Brexit and European affairs.
He also undertakes policy work in areas such as access to justice and technology and the law, and during the coronavirus pandemic has undertaken high-profile work on the acceptability of Covid-19 vaccines, working with an interdisciplinary group of experts in the field.
